Hi Guys I am going to change my thermostat to a 180 degree unit.
What is the easiest way to do this and what is the best way to drain and flush the cooling system and which is the best coolant to use ? Thanks. Mark |

Drain the radiator from the petcock on the bottom passenger side.
If you have an oil cooler, I'd take off the oil cooler hose on the block side and drain that too. It's low on the block and will drain the entire block. Refill the block at the T-stat housing before you put the new T-stat in. Fill the radiator from the tank up by the base of the windshield. Done. It's messy. I hate antifreeze, it's has such a horrible feel. |

Someone contact CFI-EFI and tell him there's a stat thread going on. I know he wouldn't want to miss it!
