Congrats Bogus.!!! Yesterday the first anniversary with my 90 vert.
This old hot rod has been virtually trouble free for me . I have managed to put 20,000 kms on it in the first year, not bad considering it's mainly used as a fun after work and weekend toy and was stored for most of that brutal winter we had.
We have also found allot of new Corvette related friends in the Toronto area.
What a blast the first year has been.

Looks like the Rep recommended pads for a C5. The Problem is I bought these at Summit Racing in Ohio and I live just outside of Toronto Ontario.6 hours away. I will attempt to trade these at a dealer for the C4 Pads.

Thanks for the help guys.

I bought some Hawk Brake Pads a couple of weeks ago the Summit Racing Car show in Ohio.
The rep from Hawk recommended the P/N#HB274F.575 /D731 HPS pads for the front of my 1990 Vert.
When I looked at them today they are quite different from the OEM pads. They don't have the Two steel cup style locator's on the back and they have a tab on the center of the large rad on the backpad.
Has anyone run into this problem ? Do I have the wrong pads? Or do I need to modify the tab?

Thanks
Mark

Hi Guys I wonder if anyone has a solution to my problem.
Yesterday I lowered the tail end of my 90 Vert. The car always sat a bit lower on the drivers side, after lowering it I still have the same problem it sits 3/8" lower on the Driver side.
How do I correct this problem?
Thanks for any help.

Just finished a complete tune up and lowered the back end by an inch.
I think I took the original plugs, cap, wires, and rotor out. after installing all new parts it feels like a new car.
No more ping on acceleration and noticeably more power.
Gotta like it.

Big Thanks to everyone who replied to my questions and for the tech section. All this info made the job easy.

Now its time for an hour long HOT shower after a full day of bending over the engine bay and laying on the garage floor.
Thanks Again

That is a great bike. Not a true sport bike but has a great bang for the buck value. I have ridden one of these a few times, it is quite comfortable even for a couple of hours.

I have the 2 wheeled Winnebago which is great for the long cruise, but its still fun to get on something like the Speed Triple that goes that fast and stops that quick.
Lots of technology for 10 grand.
Take it for a test ride, you will probably buy it.

Iam about half way through my winter projects and need some information.
I have a 1990 L98 with 70,000 kms on it. all bone stock except for flowmasters and a K&N filter.

#2 Also my thermostat is sticking . Should I go with a 160 or 180 deg and what type of coolant.?

Thanking you in advance for any info supplied. Mark

For all you guys that live in an area where you can drive you Vette's all year. This is what us Northerners have to put up with.
With yesterdays additional 12" of snow we broke a 148 year record.

Hi Guys. I have been a member of this site for a couple of months now. I live in Georgetown Ontario ( 1/2 hour north west of Toronto).
This has been one brutal winter for a Vette owner, we got another 8" of snow today. The snow banks at the sides of my driveway are about 6'high. I cant wait for spring.

Great job on the new and improved site. I would like to thank everyone in advance for the answers I will receive when I post questions for upcoming mods.

Hi Guys this is my first post to this great web Site.
I Have a 1990 Vert. I would like to service my tranny by dropping the pan.
Are there any useful hints or tricks in doing this due to the X brace under the Verts?
Thanking you in advance for any help.
