Need some advice on brake pads for my 89 just would like something stock would the AC Delco pads be good for my 89.

I think most brake experts would recommend Hawk as their choice for pads.

I also recommend Hawk. I run them.

They are a huge improvement over stock.

However, they are also pricy but IMO, they are worth the extra dollars.

And they must be installed correctly with cleaning up the rotors (costs less than $10 to do) and proper bedding of the pads.

The Delco pads are just fine but not near the performance of the Hawks. I personally wouldn't run them but they'll get you stopped.

Hawk is very good.

I have had good luck with Centric and Power Stop.
