How hard is to remove and replace the fuel injectors on an L98? I'm thinking of getting mine flowtested and cleaned by Rich at Cruzin Performance ...

Nice little project for you to do on the 'Vette. You'll learn quite a bit. No....not hard...just label everything. And you can't go wrong with R. Jensen either

Pretty easy, just a little time consuming your first go around.
If you run into any hangups gimme a ring, just not before noon your time 619-520-8685. Getting the runners off and working with that stupid cold-start line can be tricky. I would highly recommend using Rich for injectors, they'll come back looking like new and even if that wasn't the culprit, it's good preventative maintenance. |

yea, nice project for a weekend.
One set of Torx sockets and a 10mm socket. Not too bad at all. Be ready to get new gaskets for the TPI. |

The intake runner gaskets. You will have to remove all of the plenum to get to the injector rails.
Also, has the intake base been re-gasketed? If not, I would consider it. |

Yeah the upper gaskets are dry and normally reusable, but if this is the first time you've pulled em, they'll probably come apart.

It's not hard at all, just takes some time and patience. As for Cruzin.........I highly recommend him! I sent mine to Rich, had them back in a week, and couldn't be happier! I wouldn't hesitate to send more to him, when I need to. :thumbright:

John this is a link to a procedure to remove your injectors. I used this when I did mine. I bought what they call an UPPER gasket set which was for the plenum and runners Ok I cannot get the link to work by clicking on it. Copy the whole link and paste it in the address bar and it will work. Anyone know why it will not work correctly from here |

We should do like Haynes does and disassemble his entire pristine car and reassemble it. Then we'd have all sorts of tech tips, and in 7 years, j3studio would be back on the road like it never even happened. And all he's gotta do is cover our beer tab.
