Just reading a bit of this week’s postings.
Tee, I’m sorry you lost your friend. It’s never easy.

Tommy, regarding telling our wives we’re sick/dying, mine just tells me,” Don’t make a mess!” Oddly enough, it’s just not as funny now as it was the first time I said it to her.

As far as everything else, things are settling back into the usual roar of life at the double-wide. I’ve got a few more days of half-days at work, then I’m back at it with the OT and long hours. I’m going to try to go straight through to Thanksgiving and then again through to Christmas. At least that’s going to be the attempt. At this writing I’m planning to leave toolmaking in 275 days. August 1st. I’d considered going through til October 1st, of ‘23 to make it an even 50 year career, but now that I’ve had a taste of the good life while I was off, I think I’m ready.
I just hope my wallet is.

HI BOB---
YOU'RE RIGHT; RETIREMENT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY MOST PRACTITIONERS :-)

IT'S CLEAR, CALM, AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, 40 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH. LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY DAY COMING UP.

WE HAD PLANNED TO GO TO OKC THIS MORNING FOR #7 GRANDSON'S SWIM MEET, BUT DARLING WIFE'S KNEE EPISODE DISCONBOBULATED ALL PLANS. WE COULD STILL GO, JUST LATER, DEPENDING ON HOW SHE FEELS. WE SHALL SEE WHAT WE SHALL SEE---

I have taken care of my wife after more than 90 minor and major surgeries over the past 38 years. When I'm not feeling well it would be nice if she at least offered me a bowl of hot Vulcan soup. lol I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that for me if I'm not feeling well it's best to just go lay down and close the door. And don't forget to heat my own soup. It's OK. I'm a man about it. Just LMTFA (Leave Me The F@(% Alone)

I just want to mention how lucky we are to have youtube tutorials available on such a vast array of subjects. I have fixed a bunch of stuff on my own because somebody posted a step by step on many items I'm trying o repair. Truly thankful.

Good morning, all.

Just back from my first in-person conference in almost two years. It was … worthwhile.

Tom, I totally agree about YouTube repair videos—one of the true glories of the internet.

Hey guys, MY wife helped me all morning, today. Moved cabinet pieces from storage, out to where the cabinets will reside once we assemble them (next week). I can't complain about her not helping me.

Last night the symptoms from the 'booster' shot amplified. chills, extreme tired...went to bed at9:30chilled, hot, chills hot not much restful sleep until about 3 am symptoms broke and slept good after that. Feel pretty good this today. Rosie has a little body aches.

church in a little while.
