Last night I went to look at and buy a 2018 Genesis G80 3.8 V-6 22k miles on the clock, white/tan like I wanted and newish tires. The car is beautiful and near mint. A couple of paint blemishes. That's it. Price was very good at $16,900 (before the dealer put in the add ons, taxes tags and so on). We have been dealing with this dealership for decades and our salesman we know since he was a kid. Overall he looks out for our interests but he IS a car salesman so I know there is room to play at the final price. Before we went out for a test drive in the Genesis he said "Come over and look at this car. It's a beauty. I love this car.'. What was it? A 2017 Torch Red Z06 with a tan interior, 21,000 miles, 2LZ. He said " Come on, lets take it for a ride. You don't have to buy it. I just want to ride in it. I love it.". Took it to the street and he said,'Go ahead, Give it some gas.". So I did. From 30 MPH I gave it a good half pedal quickly. The rear end broke loose and the ass was sliding a bit. I told him it's a good thing I know how to drive. That car is a monster. Sue took it for a ride and went into the warehouse area. She said "Can I blow a donut?" Sure he said and Sue proceeded to smoke them in a tight circle. She came back saying "That car is awesome." I said to her, it's red. You don't like red. She said I don't see the red from the inside. She said "We should buy it along with the Genesis. We only live once and we can't take it with us. I could make it to the Hard Rock Casino (60 miles away) in half the time she said. Cut to the chase. Ya, we bought both cars. Of course that means I have to sell the 90 and 91. Bought it for $61,490 plus tax, tag add ons which included a lojack and we bought a 5 year 50 thousand mile bumper to bumper warranty to protect us from the potential big hit items. .... By the way. I like the 2018 Genesis more than the 2023 Cadillac CT5. So, one car for luxury and one car for go fast luxury. Guess that means I'll have to get out more. .... Have a great day everyone. The Genesis is home . We get the Z06 on Friday. Had to move some money around to make it happen. It's all a done deal now.

Beautiful day here to be out playing with it, sunny and should be mid 60's in a bit. Cold front on the way though. Drove my Vette today, it's got so much dust on it you can't tell what color it is, and is usual, I've parked with no gas in it. Not sure what the atmosphere is doing this morning, but it sure did seem to run better than usual. I've had it long enough I'm considering pestering Arron to work his engine magic for me and maybe a supercharger for Christmas. 425 hp is plenty but what's a little more gonna hurt? Just gets me to the beach faster.

Wowzer.... that's a big deal... that has to be a looker.... is it an automatic or stick.... probably an automatic... 650 hp I'm thinking.... I love Torch Red.... post it up so we can see..... that's exciting.... Traction control is your friend ya....

Marcus, it's an automatic with paddle shifters. No way I would drive it without two hands on the wheel. My 91 is the same way. You need something to hold on to.

that cold weather is no bueno since that new to them Z06 has summer tires on it I'm thinking......

right. You can drive it in the cold, but he better hold on as those tires won't grab for anything
