The 32* temperature killed a lot of fish in Sue's pond at the nursery. We ran the water of the irrigation systems at the home plant nursery and at the the main nursery. Crossed fingers we won't have a major plant loss. It's as close as it can get to a major disaster for all the farmland and plant nurseries here. I'm doing what I'm doing. A little of this and that . Whatever the priorities are. Time to shower, dress, and get my ass in gear. Get your ass in gear gurus.

...I was just thinking that yesterday also Gris... I miss my dog Ollie.... damnation on his life being cut short.... also miss our dog Ham that was 16 and just faded off somewhere and we never did find him..... both Yorkies.....
high of 44 and cloudy.... no big whoop here.... could be worse.... it always could be worse Guru's |

I get so emotianally attached to my dogs and cats. I talk to them, pet them, show them love . In return they give me unconditional love. I lost Snoopy and Schatzie last year and my connection with them is always there. I miss them dearly. But we now have Buddy, Yorkie the Yorkie and Gremlin. Lucky, the cat, is now coming up on 15 years old. Sometimes he is outside and sometimes he's in my office. I'm closer to them than any humans outside of Sue. We do what we can to protect them and give them a good life. They have no idea how lucky they are and I have no idea how lucky I am.

Agreed, they really do become our family. I miss having Onyx and Sam here even though they worked my last nerve sometimes. Sometimes we go out thrifting and will stop by a rescue place and pet a few. Not sure we are ready to be having another just yet.
I will say I have never been so excited in all my life of seeing 45º outside. Sunny, so the porch is warming up, stuff is melting. 60 coming for Friday and a week of 60s almost next week. 6 more weeks of winter though. I do have some groundhog stew recipes for anyone in need. Nothing planned today but soak up sun. Slept till 10:30 and still feel out of it. |
