Good morning Gris, hope all is good over your way. Overcast here, has rained a bit nearly every day. Kinda like living in the tropics except skeeters and more humid. At least the plants get watered and that's one more thing off my list to do. Boxing tonight but with the weather my hip is bothering me way more than usual, plus I have out of state guests coming tomorrow I figure I'd do best to be home tidying up. They usually stay with us overnight but given the circumstances, and Arron has been sleeping in that room, they're supposed to be getting a hotel here in town where I work. A couple of boxes of homebrew will be my benefit this trip, he makes all types, looking forward to their visit and a good cold one.

another good corn growing day on the great plains.... sunshine and blue skies..... been working in the yard and the list is long... will keep at it because Doc is making me.... this time of the year I am thinking of heading to the Black Hills... this year will be taking the Blue Flame up for some top down driving thru the pine forests..... nothing like the smell of sagebrush and bacon in the morning.....

HOT, HOT, HOT. I've been out working in it all week. Major yard cleaning yesterday with a crew of 4 plus Sue and I. We made a big pile for county pick up. Today I worked on thrying to get the irrigation sysytem up and running. Tomorrow I will swap out the cirtcuit breaker and cross my fingers. Busy, busy, busy.

We are headed to the Black Hills and beyond in August. #2 granddaughter is moving to Bozeman to work on her Masters and we agreed to help her move. They need a pickup and we got one, so we were elected....really we would have helped anyway,but the fact that we have a pickup makes it that much better.

Next week we are headed to central Kansas so we can view "The Big Boy" 4014 steam locomotive. We have a room reserved in one of the towns it will be stopping at, so we should have a good spot.

We pick up GGD on the 27th for three weeks. Our last long visit with her until next summer as she starts school on August 18... hard for us to believe that she's old enough to start school.
