What year was your C4?

Do they ever "stick" or have problems staying up?

It's a 1991 vert and they operate just fine so far I get the same noise if just the parking lights are turned on-then off.

no clue. This is where the Factory Service Manual, available from www.helminc.com or via eBay, comes in real handy.

I have had it happen to mine, too... but I donno why.

I know that sound...I had it when the bearings were going out. It lasted for a couple of months before the headlights wouldn't open all of the way. It's not a hard job to do just time consuming.

I would say it was the head lights but if it does it with the parking lights on is kinda of strange. I would want to point at a relay but since it does not stay on then I am not really sure what it could be.

Sorry it to so long, but I put the new bushings in yesterday. Very simple to do if everything goes right. But i had to snap of one of the screws that holds the motor to the gear casing on the dirvers side. So that took 2 extra hours to drill out the screw and replace with a bold and nut. Back togeather and no more noise. :thumbleft:

So on to the passenger side, figured it would take less than a 1/2 hour, now that i know how to do it. guess what, broke one of the screws that hold the motor to the gearcasing AGAIN...

knowing how to drill it out now, all backtogeather in an hour.

Tom, I installed mine about 2 weeks ago all went smooth except one of the limiters on the mechanism I installed backwords because everything on the other side is mirror and not the same. All works great just as you predicted. I guess these bushings are designed to take all the beating/sacrifice itself so the gears remain intact. Now for the EGR swap out and the new chip. Vette season is almost here!!!!
