Total of 16 Vettes and a couple of imports and the N GA mountains = a whole lot of fun. We met up in Dawsonville and headed up over Neals Gap to Blairsville with a side trip up and down some really tricky mountain roads. Too busy to take any pictures while driving, but here's one or two of us at Vogel State Park for a short break.

Meeting up

The only C4 in the group, mine

Only problem all day was a kid in a 'ricer' Honda, complete with fart can mufflers blew his motor on the mountain. He wanted to be a show off and pass us, got a bit expensive for him. He only races downhilll now.

"He only races downhilll now." That's just funny!
But this just reminds me of how long it's been since I played in the mountains with the Vette. And the mountains are not far away. I need to work less and play more.
Anyhow, I know and I'm sure you had a great time utilizing the Vette for it's intended purpose.

Looks nice. I guess I need to go back and study my geography because I didn't even remember there are mountains in GA.

Are C4s allowed to open their hoods?
Looks like all the C5 & C6 guys have their hoods open. It's kind a like -- ya seen one ya seen em all, isn't it?

Regular drivers driving into the park must think Corvettes must have cooling issues since all the guys have their hoods up and look like they are having trouble with their engines.

"Look Bob... all those guys must have overheated going up the mountain!"

Does look like it was a ton of fun though. I know that part of Georgia a little too. It was a fun driving area.

Actually there was quite a mix, lot of Z06s including some modded ones. The C6 Z06 was cool, but then the supercharged C5 was probably the best sounding. This will give you an idea what the roads were like:
