I bought it new ,back in 02. It is a 100th edition (03) and I had to wait 1 year to get it. Up here, I am lucky to put 2000 miles per year on it.

It is beautiful. I love the look of the V-Rod.

You all need to move south... as in GA or FL! Even SC is nice. I am rather partial to the Empire Coast of GA. Low population and good cost of living with great weather!

If I were to someday choose a cruiser over a sport bike, the V Rod is tempting.

Very nice!

Wow, does it come from the showroom setup like that?

Last month I rented a softtail right there in Manchester there and went cruising upstate for the day.

No offense, but I was dying to get back home and ride my Honda back after that Harley ride.

Nice bike Pete!

Oh, and CC you probably already know you don't buy a Harley for the ride and comfort. It's all about the image man.

LOL, my "image" was made in 2008 yet the front trim rattled for the entire trip.

For the most part, yes. Quite a few parts have been chromed, but any accessory is directly from the Harley catalog. Seat is also a Harley Sundowner.

This is not a typical Harley. Stuff does fall off it occasionally, but quality seems better than most HD's.
BMW Frame, and Porshe motor.
It also has a unique sound. Most Harley guys hate them, and most guys that ride japanese bikes hate it cause it is a Harley. Probably the least accepted bike on the road.
Runs 11.80 @112 and 0-60 in 3.0 sec, and is reasonably comfortable though.

I think it looks great. Who cares what other people think as long as you enjoy it.

If that's true, then the V-Rod would be the ZR1
