Does anyone elses C4 floor get hot during an extended drive. Mine sure does. Normal or should I be checking out the cats? Thanks!

I would say it's normal.

Mine did it on the OEM cats and still does it on the low-mileage replacement cats.

My center console especially up by the stereo can get really hot on warm days. I even have foil-backed sound mat under the insulation.

I think the aerodynamics under the car are such that the heat gets trapped in the the front part of the tunnel where the bellhousing is.

I don't see how the floorboards could get hot though, there's airflow right underneath them. Maybe your heater is leaking hot air onto your feet.

Yes it was more like the tranny tunnel and center consol getting very warm. If I ever take out the carpet I'll look in to some type of heat barrier. I was getting worried about the cats plugging up after 63K. Thanks for the replies!
