AFAIK they are now the LS7 lifter. But it is a slightly different height and you need shorter (?) pushrods.

This has been argued around various perf sites.
Some say they needed different pushrods because the cup was lower in the lifter body; some say they used stock.

LS7 lifters are the only ones GM now lists as the new 'stock replacement' lifters for the LTx and LSx engines, .

I've seen it discussed as well. I personally have no experience with them so I can't say concretely what the answer is. Best bet is still a pushrod length checker.

Not really arguments, just two different groups of people - those who measured their needed pushrod length, and those who just "used stock."
