I've got an early '86...

When I let the vehicle idle, whether at a stop light or in the garage, after a good 30-45 seconds I get this noise. It sounds as though the rocker arms are making this noise. The noise only comes from the drivers side. It sounds about the same frequency as a machine gun doing blasts. Is my engine knocking? The rpms dip about 1000 rpms when the noise happens and it sounds like the engine is bogging.

Thanks,
Jack
