Why is it, when you're working on something and need a hand, nobody's around? But, when you're working on something and don't need a hand, there's a couple of guys in the garage, getting in the way and asking if there's any beer in the fridge?

Like Red Green says, If they don't find you handsome, at least they'll find you handy. Long live the one-man shop!

PS...I didn't see the beer fridge...

Oh, I like Labatts. I seem to remember getting hammered on it at the Formula 1 races at Watkins Glen, I think, I seem to remember, well I don't really remeber.

My favorite's closer to Canada than I am:

I'd rather have a hot chick hold it and it doesn't have to be on a Friday.

Actually,it's an Atlis Clausing, gear drive. It came with the heavy stand, 3 & 4 jaw chucks, taper jig, drill chuck, etc.
I got it at a storage sale for, get this, $300.

I had a Rockwell that somebody gave me because they couldn't give me the $300 they owed me. My wife made me sell it about 10 years ago because I never used it. I told her I'd use it when I retired. I probably would never use it.

Tom, In the first pic, I was drilling holes for the ballisters. Today, I made the "scary" cut on the oak railing. It did fit between the post and the wall.

Bill, I can't imagine why that was a "scary" cut....after all that railing was what $350? I think I have a box of those balusters laying around here.

The railing was fairly inexpensive oak from Lowes but I wuss out on critical cuts.
One of these days, Ill post a pic of the bar I built. The oak railing for that was $13 a foot 15 years ago.
