Good Morning CGs!

Well geeze, it's about the halfway point here in December. I can't believe it already!

I'm watching the rugrat today. Wifey is at work. I started to paint the master bathroom last night. It's a chore to do because of all the cutting in and obstacles. Got it partially prepped last night and started a wall to see how we liked it. Well, we didn't....lol. We wanted a khaki/sand sort of color and somehow ended up with a yellow. And not that attractive of a yellow. I'm gonna mix a little brown paint in later and see if I can darken it up. Probably won't happen until wifey gets home, though. Whatever color goes up, though, it's better than the puke green up there now

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! Back in the deep freeze again, it was -2 here this morning. At least a few degrees warmer than predicted. Hopefully this will be short-lived.

I remember a few years back we took the wallpaper down in our bedroom (PITA to move the bed and all the furniture, etc.). I had to patch up the walls a bit, then primed and put on 2 coats of paint. We didn't like it so I wallpapered again with grass cloth - arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Another slow day at work, things are winding to an end. Tomorrow is my last day. Then Thursday have our holiday party I was invited to here, (ugh) then Friday I meet with one of our other publishers for a freelance job. Still trying to figure out why they can't keep me on after 16 years but will pay me way more hourly for freelance work for them????
Cold here to but not too bad, mid 40s but freezing at night.

Brad, it's cold here too, not quite as cold as you guys though, 7* and now it's 16. Headed for a high of 35*. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer, 49*. I picked up a couple of more little jobs for some extra spending cash. I worked on a computer until about 11pm last night, and I had a lady call me about, as she put it, "A wood emergency", her bed got broke from her husband and there daughter jumping on it, the frame rail broke. I got that one fixed, built a new side rail out of real Oak, not cheapy plywood. I finished up some chairs that I redid the seats on, and got those delivered. This afternoon (after school) I go back and hang the cabinet to finish up the desk job and collect my final payment. The lady was thrilled that I got it all done and was really surprised and happy.

Well, I made some progress on the bathroom while rugrat was sleeping. Mixed up the paint a bit and made it darker, looks much better now. I don't think it's 100% what I wanted, but better than what was there! Got the bathroom 90% taped off until I ran out of painters tape. So I cut in all the edges I could and now I have to stop since she'll be up soon. Wifey is supposed to get some more tape and my roller on the way home (seems my tools keep ending up at my FIL's house....strange....)
