Really laid down some nice times yet again at the latest FAST autocross this past Sunday. I was just in the zone. Was the first to hit the 24's and my first time to have the fast time of the day, if even for just one round. Finished first in class, and 3rd overall. Have a set of kumho 710s on C5Z wheels, but with heavy rain threatening, I left them at home. Hope to wear them at the next event at the hernado airport in april. Plan on attacking for FTD.

Out-of-car action. My in-car camera had issues but didn't know till the day was done.

That rocks love the black on black look. Can't wait for the weather in Michigan to break and get out and kill some cones.

Oh i forgot to mention the corvette that finished 4th, has over 100hp more, and nitto NT01s. I even only have 245/45/17's on the front vs his 275/40/17, but to his defense, he was really out there just having fun. I was just laying down good times and hunting for FTD. There was one very critical turn. The last turn, a large box so you have to just find the line. There was also a very slight hump going into it. You had to brake a tad early. I picked up almost a full second just making that change after the first run. And yeah, I think I'm still high off of it.

What tires were you running if you didn't run the Kumhos?

Nice work. Auto-X is very challenging, too challenging for me, lol. I assume the classing is similar to SCCA with S2Ks and M3s in your group.

What exhaust do you have on there?

I think you need a new cameraman

How much time is added if you hit a cone? Looks like a blast to drive that.

Michelin PS2s. Very pricey, but DAMN good grip. I don't think I'll be able to afford to run them again for awhile. I'll miss them dearly.

Yep. Similar to SCCA classing. The group has been SCCA and NASA certified, but got tired of the politics and high fees. This past event there were 3 S2000's, one EVO and one Porsche boxter (porsche finished .8 behind me).

The exhaust. It's a custom magnaflow system. 3" bullet cats, 3" X-pipe and the smallest oval street mufflers they make. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZRkt3hMSlU I couldn't be happier with it.

And Matthew, it's 2sec per cone. This weekend, even with a spin out...0 cones.

A set of the Nitto NT05's might be some good replacements in the bang for the buck department. I haven't personally run them, mostly because I am just getting out of Miata's and moving to Vette's. I ran the Bridgestone RE-01R and the Toyo T1R on those....the the RE-01R is sweet.

Very Cool! I just started AX myself last year but I am driving in the NCCC races. I am classed in Group 3 before I even get started. I have too many mods and I have to race against the big dogs, so there are not going to be a lot of wins in my future yet. However I had a blast last year and should prove to be a ton of fun this.

I love the way your car looks on the course, I'd like to get some video of mine out there too.

Thanks for sharing - keep them coming as you get 'em.

I'm just another one of those guys just out there having fun. Congrats on a great effort. Even if my times aren't the best, I have a ball. The good news is I do a few things right. The bad news is I do a few things wrong. Always room for improvement. If any of you are thinking of trying AutoX, quit thinking and start doing. You won't regret it.

Agreed. Get out there and race. Any sort of racing will do. Don't be that numnuts that only hits WOT on freeway onramps.
