Good Morning CGs!

Well, my plans for an evening run last night got scrapped. I waited all day because it was so hot, I planned on going around 8:00. So I got in the car and mapped out a little 6 mile route around the house. As I was driving the skies changed from clear to pitch black (yes, in that short of a time) and then the rains came. Good news is that it cooled things off. Bad news is now I have to run right now. I'd rather have it behind me already!

After that I have to take the rugrat to gymnastics and then work on the neighbor's E150 van. Having some running problems related to the EGR and looks like an O2 sensor might be bad. Guess I'll know more when I tear it apart.

What's everyone else up to?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

So far this has been a killer month on the nursery budget. An irrigation pump failed, the box truck door and cab over need replacement/repair and the kitties ate the wiring harnesses out of the bottom of the S-10. To top it off on Fridy the 13th, my wife was driving down the highway at 60 mph on the way to pick up the box truck. A bee flies in the slightly opened window and stings her where the shoulder meets the neck on her left side. Never a dull day in the T-Bone household, never a dull day.

I'm going to a Crab Feast today sponsored by a local Street Rod club called the Asphalt Angels. They have some nice customs and some oldies. Typically, Corvette guys don't get a chance to mingle with these folks a lot unless you have a classic Vette with a blower up front, but my buddy Jim has a way with people and they have excepted him and his late model Z06. I'm looking forward to seeing the cars today and the great food too. Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs! Ah yes... for you that are not acquainted they are just the best part of late summer here in the bay area.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, crab!! No such luck here. I'm working on the computer I use most of the time, putting it in a new case and upgrading the ancient OS. May get around to washing the Vette if it isn't too stinkin' hot out today.

Have a good weekend!

There's a tavern in South Mountain, Pa. just north of the Md. border. It's up in mountains, close to nothing except a few houses, 20 mi from any town.
They truck in Blues every day, steam them and sell off site by the bushel. We used to pack coolers full of them.

Love them but it can take you 3 hours of hammering to get full.

No, he picked those up in DC. (sorry)

Just got back from my run and the wife and baby are still sleeping! Good time, though. 6.0 miles in 52:29. My goal was 54:00, which is 9 minute mile pace, so I'm happy. This works out to about 8:45 pace which is on track for me. I did the first mile in 8:30, then slowed up a bit, and my last two miles were quicker. So a good run overall. I think I need to go jump in the pool because I look like I got caught in a hurricane. Wasn't too hot out yet, but very humid from the rain.

Morning guys...I slept in and then worked on some pictures from yesterday. See the other post. Went for a walk with the wife, the altitude makes it difficult for me.

Nothing else planned for me today.

It takes a long time to get used to it, probably a couple years. Same thing with low humidity.

I could live near that road, very nice.

I tried to go for a walk with the wife once. The attitude made it difficult for me.

Just got finished replacing the EGR valve in the neighbors E150 work van. I seem to recall it being harder the last time I worked on it, but I also removed the throttle body and few other parts at that time. Tried to track down an O2 sensor code but not faulty wiring, so it's either the O2 sensor (4 total, two on each bank) or the cat is bad. I reset the code and told him if it comes back we'll try to replace the sensor first.

I also fixed the rattling heat shield on the truck exhaust and fixed the broken tail lamp socket as well. I'm on a roll today. I'm gonna go hit the weights now and then the BIL is making some salmon for dinner.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend as much as I am!
