There's also chrome for more $, but I kinda like the darker greys. The 18s aren't my first choice because they're heavier, dwarf the brakes more, and tires are $50 more each, but the designs available are better IMO.

All of these should fit my 85 without adapters.

Do you still have the chrome C5 thin spokes?
Personally, I like those better than three choices above.

Just buy the ZR 1 and they will throw in the wheels for free!

I like them too, but they are only 8.5" wide and require adapters. I taco'd one of the rears on a pothole or something, so bad that the entire barrel is bent relative to the mounting flange and the inner barrel is also egg shaped. I noticed it on the smog dyno, and then saw it on the tire balancer yesterday. Plus the chrome is shot.

My ideal wheel is a 17" that fits 275s, but the A-molds are so overdone.

I may get them anyways just because I can mount the 17" tires I have now, plus the new pair I already bought and mounted instead of returning them. *sigh*

Current setup:

The spyders come in chrome too, maybe too much bling though.

I think I'm gonna opt for the cheapy $600 painted ZR1s. These will fit without adapters, fit the tires I already paid for, 275s later, and can become my race wheels if needed. Every other option is too damn expensive.

I was tempted to run these with adapters though, for the sleeper effect, but my car is slow, so it's not much of a sleeper! I'd do 16s if they cleared my brakes.

Resized Image Not bad for $250

not bad at all!

I am not a fan of chrom... it only holds up for so long, and then peals off and looks ugly.

Had a set of Keystone chrome wheels on my Chev van, they went 20+ years before the first flaking appeared.

Ok but were they made in China and chromed in Little Havana?

Would've probably helped though if I cleaned the cat piss/brake dust mud off of them every few months or so.

I had a set of Fuchs wheels rechromed by Wheel Enhancement out of Caliphoneya. Already showing signs of decay and it's only been three years. The car is in the carport and frequently covered. Cost me about 18 big ones to redo. I'm going for new wheels next go round on that one. Gunmetal Grey is my new favorite wheel. Wash, occasional wax and go.

Nah, 20 years ago Americans still made good shit instead of whining.

I guess if you want shiny now, you have to get polished alum.

The keystones were made like classic craegers... Steel rim, aluminum center and then friction welded.
