I haven't been here since the site was just getting started. Looks like a lot of good stuff going on. Good job Bogus!

Anyhow - what do you guys think about used Fuel injectors? I am getting ready to buy some Ford SVO 30# injectors and there are a couple sets on eBay for sale. Comments?

I wouldn't mess around with used injectors it's just not worth the trouble it can cause. No telling how long they've been out of the car, plus the internal seals seem to dry out quickly once they are removed from the car.

The Fords are a great bargain and good piece of mind. I've put them in several C4s and never had a problem.

Welcome back

Yeah, don't purchase used injectors unless you can get them at a good price and turn around and spend money having them cleaned and serviced. I have purchased a set of used 88 vette injectors and had them serviced. When I got them back, the service sheet said they were actually good before I shipped them. Just rather be safe than sorry especially going through the work to tear apart and install.

Rich at cruzinperformance.com can refurb a set for about $100. But I wouldn't buy used unless it was the only option or free.

I've noticed a few people run Ford injectors on C4's...which is what the guy who built my engine used as well. Do they offer any benefits over GM injectors or are they just cheaper?

I've been running the Bosch pinktops for 3 years without probs. Picked em up on ebay from fiveOmotorsports. As I recall it was 205 with shipping. These were the "used" which were actually takeoffs from crate motors as I was informed.

good luck

From what I understand from the posts on CamaroZ28.com is that the FordSVO injecotrs are more accurate and have a better spray, and are less expensive. Although I don't know if this is at all correct. I do know I need 30# injectors for my configuration and don't know any others to buy, as everyone has recomended the Ford injectors for my application.

If I remember correctly, The Ford injectors flow is rated at 39psi,,, and the GM's rated flow is based on a seting of 42 PSI

So a SVO 24# injector at 42 PSI is really @ 26 PSI or so.

So essentially you can Fuel PResusre with the Ford SVO injectors.
