My wife and I just bought a new family car, 300C SRT8. It has a cool performance timer that records 0-60, 1/8th,and 1/4 mile times. Best 0-60 so far is 4.27 seconds. I think I'm going to like this one! Great room, nav, DAV integrated video, cushy seats, etc.. It's a fun car to drive. My wife likes the color, my kids like the video system, and I like the drive. Everyone's happy and life is good!

Sweet! I like those cars, a lot! I haven't had the op to drive a HEMI yet, but want to.

What year?

That's a nice looking car...sounds pretty stout, too. I wonder how accurate those numbers are? That sounds quick!

Ever since I saw them I've wanted to get one and pimp it out.

Thanks all. Those numbers are pretty close. It is an extremely quick car, however, it is a rolling brick. 1/4 mile on these things are high 12's / low 13's at 110~. The car pulls hard on the upper end, but it is definitely not as slippery as a Vette. Folks put a Predator tune on them and can get to 60, sub 4 - 4.1. The 6.1 Hemi is a fine motor, but I'm craving the 6.4 Hemi. Maybe in a few years.

It'll be great for my wife. Below is a quick picture, sorry for the dirty garage.

Are they really that fast stock? I've never seen one get out of the 14's at the drag strip?

Yes they are. Are you sure you didn't see the 300C 5.7 run? High 13 - low 14 is about right for them. The electronics are tricky on these things. The 300C has traction control on and partial traction control. The SRT8 has on, partial, and off. It's a trick getting the traction control to fully disengage. If it hooks and traction control is off, look out.

According to Daimler/Chrysler, the 300C SRT8 is the second fastest production Chrysler product ever made, behind the Viper. However, the Charger SRT8 vs the 300C is a toss up / best driver wins. The 300C SRT8 is actually 120 lbs lighter than the Charger.

Handling is even very good and it will stop increadibly quick, for a 4000 lb car, thanks to the Brembo brakes!

I'm still learning about this platform, but this will be around for a while.

I don't know anything about them, so it's entirely possible that they are 300C's with the 5.7.

Maybe the newer ones have more power. But the other SRT8s were nowhere near 12 seconds, maybe 13s on a good day.

Only one way to find out!

CentralCoaster, you encouraged me to go have some fun at lunch. At a buddy's place with a long private drive, I got a 1/4 mile time of 13.34 at ~109 with wheel spin off the line and skidding into 2nd. Conditions are 47 degrees, cloudy, not much wind, b-pressure ~30, and 57% humidity. It is a bone stock 07 with a Mopar CAI, that I don't think ads anything. I can definitely see this in the high 12's / low 13's in better conditions.

All I know is that if my wife is driving and we stay under 70, I wouldn't run it in my 96 LT4 DRM 383 without the juice and drag radials! Hmmmm, well, maybe I should let her win : ) The C4 is still much more fun to drive...

I seriously underestimated those cars! Low 13s/high 12s out of any stock car is impressive. I see they are 12.5 cars with simple mods. Wow.
