I never used one on my Vette...But on an old Camaro we were racing a long time ago I think there was a product call 103+ IIRC.

20% xylene or toluene mixed with 93 produces nice results.

My '69 Wildcat would ping like crazy in hot weather on 93 unleaded. The 103+ worked. The pinging and it's appetite for fuel is why I sold it.

beware toluene is a very dry liquid which can dry out your gaskets big time. you max at 1 oz to 3 gallons of fuel which will raise your octane from 91 to 96.
