Loomis isn't sure if they'd give this guy a reward? You gotta be freakin kiddin me? I know honesty is best and I would also return the money. (I'm stupid like that). Matter of fact I have already found and returned big quantities of money three times I can think of. (Two times it was a set-up ) My wife has a few times herself. The bank never thanked her. Private citizens always said thanks. I mean a genuine heartfelt thanks. That was enough. I guess corporate thinking is not always along the same lines.

A friend of mine found over $24K in deposits from the school bookstore in the student union when we were in college. He turned it in. I don't remember if he got a reward or not.

I read that article the other day...amazing there are still some good people out there.

I lost my wallet last summer while out running...fell out of the stroller. A nice man found it and returned it to me within an hour....made a new friend!

oh, and yes, honesty IS the only policy, as far as I am concerned.

It might be hard at times, but if you have anything that resembles a conscience, then yes.

There is no way I could have kept that money. It wasn't mine and that is that. Now, if after 30 days no one claims it, then it is mine and that is fine. But it was reported and logged and an honest attempt at return was done.

I've never even shoplifted a candy bar.

AND I've never cheated on my taxes.

But, sometimes honesty can get me in trouble. Like if someone asks me "How do you like my Voltswagon Beetle?"

If your wife or a girlfriend asks you if the dress she is wearing makes her look fat...........I recommend saying, no honey not at all.......I think that is the best policy.

Yes, I agree. Trust me, I've been too honest about these types of situations when I was younger. These situations are reserved solely for a flat out lie!

For politicians lying is a prerequisite. They'd never get elected in the first place if they didn't lie through their teeth. For politicians it all about the performance and I don't mean accomplishments. I mean acting ability. Arnold became Govenor, Reagan, President .... Jesse Ventura, Al Frankin, and the list goes on and on and on. That's why they need really good speech writers.
