Yea, I was parked in a lot, nose in, for lunch today. A little strip mall near by.
This dude was wheeling in a big video game, like duck hunt, and it fell off the hand truck. Oh, man, talk about a noise!!! We all go outside, and find that the back door of the game, a .5" thick piece of particle board, with locks and such, had fallen off in the tumble, scarring the front bumper cover of my car! I was cool, knowing full well that it was $180 to repaint it last month and that $225 would do it now... So he gives me the cash, we shake, I take it to and leave it with the body shop and they est $180, so I make $45! No pix... the damage wasn't that bad. A couple of scuffs and a couple of gnarly gouges, but nothing that broke the skin and no damage to the hood. All is good. It will be done in a couple of days, which is fine, I am heading out of town for a bit, so the car can stay there. |

What's cool about Andy is he didn't whine about it.
Oh my life as I knew it is over. Someone scratched my Corvette.  Wahhhh! Waahhhhh!He takes it like a man. Ah shit! Somebody scratched my car. How much will you give me to fix it? $225? .... OK!  He doesn't ask How will this effect the judging at the NCRS meeting? Will this show up on the CarFax report? Does this incident have anything to do with my current no start condition? Props Andy. Yea, I mean, why cry? It's just paint and the dude covered it.
No biggie... if I was worried about NCRS, well, I wouldn't be driving it!!! |

Going to see Bad Teacher tonight. Seems there is a scene where Carmen Diaz uses her body as a giant car wash sponge on a C4.
Would you let her use your car for the scene? I would do it if I got a free repaint. She would have to take her shoes off though and no jean shorts with rivets! |
