We just got to the hotel after a decent day on the fair grounds. Over cast, threatening rain all day but nothing more than mist for 10-20 seconds at a time.

Got the spoiler for Elsie's 79. On sale too from Corvette America - only $35.

The 92 did great on the way up here. Never got over 180*F and knocked down 26mpg on the hwy. Once we got on the secondary roads it dragged the mileage down a bit but the car still averaged 24.3mpg for the entire 203 miles from my door to the fair grounds.

Hit a few minor rain showers on the hwy, which I slowed down to 60mph for and didn't have any hydro planning problems with the MT Drag Radials.

All that fabricted sheetmetal under the hood gets alot of attention and I've met and spoken with a number of very nice people about the car.

Since the hotel is non cancelable we are sticking it out and staying the night. We'll see what it looks like in the morning.

Those if you that sent me your number, I'm sorry I haven't called but all your numbers were in my PM list or this thread.... If your gonna be there tomorow post a shout here and I'll call you if we stay.

Will - I would stay in PA... Woodbridge is getting pounded, and I am sure the 95 corridor isn't the best to be driving down!

My step daughter is at the house and she said it was just raining.... a little wind but nothing horrid.

We should be OK for the drive home sometime tomorrow. News here is saying the worse of the releated weather is going to hit us tonight (just rain/25mph wind), by morning light rain and taper off completely by mid day.

Yea, but if I had the Saturday night room, I would have just rested it there... left Sunday.

I know if I was at Carlisle and was living in Delaware, I would have simply used Carlisle as my evac point.

Well... i'm glad i left Carlisle when i did. I was able to get home and do the things that I needed to do before bailing out of Chesapeake Beach and going to my Parent's house to ride out the storm.

We just got back home.

We did go by the fairgounrds about 10:30 this morning. I thought about getting a second look at the show... It was drizzeling a bit and from what I could see alot of vendors went home last night, so we turned around and headed home.

The drive was uneventful, slight drizzel all the way to the MD state line, but sunny from there on. The MT Drag Radials did great, even in the rain.

Right over 400 miles on the odometer for the round trip. Even with driving around town for dinner, and dealing with a small amount of traffic comming home on 495 and I-95 south - the fuel mileage for the entire trip was 19.6 mpg. It was getting right at 23 mpg average on the hwy comming home, but once we hit the traffic it went down.

Once we got home.... Few tree branches down in my neiborhood (the same houses that always have branches break for some reason) but my house and yard are fine.

Even thou it was cut short and crappy weather we had a good time. Definatly looking forward to next year.

Sorry there are none (that I took).

I forgot and left the camera in the glove box the entire time.

There plenty of pics out there thou.... When we were leaving this morning, I stopped by the Sunnoco at the intersection just out of the fairgrounds to fill up. While I was checking the oil and coolant there were some guys that were also leaving, who started asking questions and snapping pics of the engine.

Like I said we met lots of nice folks up there. Looking forward to going back next year and being around fellow enthusist.

I have no pics either. However, I did get to meet MikeV. I wish I was more settled in, I could have offered him a beer. I was so exhausted from running cars out of our parking area!! I'm not taking that job next year.

Mike, it was a pleasure meeting you and I did get those plug wires tied up. I wish we could plan a get together somewhere close by just for us EastCoaster Gurus.

The car ran flawlessly all the way home. My drive to and from Carlisle was a true litmus test for the car. Both coming and going we found ourselves in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic on the Baltimore beltway. I did see the temps get up to 130 once but they quickly dropped once we got moving.

It was great to meet you too Don.The weather did turn early Sunday morning.I was tired and stayed Saturday night to leave early Sunday morning. Mistake... ended up driving home in this for 380 miles with 40 to 60mph swirling crosswinds..Nerve wracking to say the least. Lucky to make it thru the last pic as ALL roads in that that county were closed shortly after we passed thru.
