If parents are allowed to have their screaming kids in a good restaurant and not have the decency to take the kid out and calm them down then, I should be allowed to eat there with my macaw screaaming his head off.

Little Bastards... it's about time somebody started to put a leash on them! LOL

"This summer Whole Foods stores in Missouri are offering child-free shopping hours and in Florida, a controversy brews over whether kids can be banned from a condominium's outdoor area. That's right, some people don't even want kids outdoors."

Damn screamin' brats riding their skate boards and bicycles up and down in front of my house every day!! Ban the little brats. Make them stay indoors in front of the TV and XBOX all day! Deprived of sunshine and vitamin D!

Us no children couples and empty nesters are the villains here!!

I hope you all know I'm being sarcastic. I think its pretty funny, but I know parents don't. However, there are times when a parent needs to know the line and when to exit... stage left with their kids if they become a distraction. Overall I enjoy kids and like to watch them interact with their friends and adults. I sorely miss not having kids of my own and often live through my sister and her kids and others that we have become close too. I'd probably spoil the crap out of them anyway.

I found two bars in our old town in South Carolina that would let us bring the birds into. We would go there occasionally with other "Bird" friends and set up T-Stands and shoot pool, drink beer and have a good ole time. So did the birds! Screaming and carrying on! What a hoot!!! No kids there!

When I travel by plane and arrive at my assigned seat I look around to spot the toddlers. When your trapped on a plane for an extended period of time you can only hope and pray the kids go to sleep. I've watched the little terrorizers scream and hit the parents and grab everything that was not tied down. I try to find a peaceful place in my mind .............. Ohhm ................. Ohhm .......... That doesn't always work. Headphones and programs can help. A laptop would be great in these situations. If I just paid a couple of grand for a wide seat, hot towels and endless drinks I'd want to be able to enjoy it. Restaurants? Choose wisely. I love kids .... As long as their yours and not mine.

A spanking (or imminent threat of) is a sure-fire way to end tantrums. Seems to have fallen out of fashion though.

Geez what next! I agree with Bill, it isn't the kids fault it's the idiots raising them or not raising them. I always enjoy seeing a little brat getting a good spanking from his Mom. I'm like once more, make it sting.......yeah!

We raised our kids with love and some disciplin if needed. I never did the spanking or swating on the buns, that was mommas job. My voice was enough to make the kids behave usually. What we did was present a united front that the kids could not get around. I am the softy on some things so they would try and take advantage of that and I would then call in the Mother and she would say no if needed. On other things it was the other way around.

One must make the difference between being a normal kid who is into everything and a kid who is a nasty brat with evil intentions. Kids will be kids, they will push the boundries all the time. It is up to the parents to establish those boundries and then enforce them. In love and kindness of course.

When the parenting fails then we need to ban the kids from certain areas to get away from it. Nothing is worse then a 3 hr flight with a fussy kid kicking the back of your seat.

One problem: Parents that can't or won't discipline their children.

Its becoming pathetic.......

Certain places are there for kids to act like kids. Certain environments aren't predisposed to that. Go to a Barney show, expect it. Go to the midnight showing of movie, don't expect it. The problem isn't the kids, they are doing what they do. The problem is the parents. Children need a balanced amount of love and discipline. When it's not the correct balance, kids act out. Blaming the kids isn't the answer. Heck, I go to some restaurants where the adults act worse than my children. Can I ban them?
