At about lunch, I noticed the downstairs halfbath toilet wasn't flushing right. So I called my guy told him something wasn't right, left a message. About 9pm figured out we had a full blown mainline blockage. Nothing was draining. I called my guy back, and he can't fix it. No snake big enough... but he gives me another number. So I call them and they send out two young men; family run shop. They find the best place to break into the drain (old cast iron) and proceed to work the drain clean. No roots! I cleaned up the bathroom/foyer/wet bar floor and the toilet. All is back to normal and the plumbers only hit us $325 for the call - INCLUDING the snaking. Killer job, at a bad time. For a Sunday night emergency, that was a deal.
