My now 80k mi. '91 300rwhp L98 that is. It performed without a hitch on my 2600 mi. Colorado vacation.
One thousand mile I80 drive there in 100 degree heat. 600 mi. of mountain driving up to 12000 ft. elevation and a non-stop 16 hr. marathon return trip on US36, (love that road). Didn't burn a drop of oil and averaged 22mpg. Attach file:  P6170025.JPG (145.07 KB) |

Thanks. There was one hiccup. A cop from the small town of Geneseo Il. (pop.6500, LEO's, 7) keeping an empty stretch of Interstate 80 safe and keeping the town's coffers full, hiding in the bushes.
The speed limits I encountered on I80 ranged from 55 to 75mph with the progressive state of ILLinois being on the low end. Pay as you go.  |
