Good Morning CGs!

I think we are calling for more rain today. But then it should start tapering off and we'll see some warmer temperatures. My wife said it would be nice in the middle of the week and she wants to take the kids to the zoo. Ok.

Last night we went to the community Halloween event at the rec center. It was indoors this year (which they didn't say) so we had the kids bundled up in two sweaters and jackets and they were walking around sweating their butts off. Dumb on the part of the village to just randomly move it inside because of some rain, and then to not tell anyone. So there are tables from local businesses passing out flyers and candy. They got so much it was ridiculous. Also got to go on a horse drawn trailer ride and they got some pumpkins and popcorn. They had a ball until then end when the balloon guy was already done and RR#1 wanted a balloon animal...toxic meltdown. Oh well. It was still a good time.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Well the hometeam didn't get it done last night. Started off great with 21 points racked up in the first quarter and led 21 to 13 by half. Second half not so good as our guys wore down they kept pounding us and ended up 41 to 28 them...Uboy had a career game that included forcing a fumble and then recovering it to stop a drive on the 10 yard line. Slight chance that we can get into the State playoff brackets but we won't know until later this morning. I'm good with it if we don't get in.

Got some big ugly projects that need done around here that envolve digging down in the dirt to fix stuff.....I have been putting it off but am running out of excuses. More on that later.....

Have a great weekend Guru's....

Morning guys...We made it to KC last night in nearly record time. Wife and I made it all the way from home to Junction City (272 miles) before we stopped for gas and something to eat. Pickup made almost 20mpg running 70-80mph all the way, really shocked me. Ate on the road and was here by 9:40, 5 hours and 50 minutes. Unloaded the chairs and table and assembled the table by 10:15.

I've taken some pictures, but they are on my phone and I haven't got them downloaded to the computer yet.

Enjoying the grandkids this morning. This afternoon, daughter is hosting a Halloween party for the kids, grandma and I actually brought our Royals jerseys and will be baseball players.

Got to go for now.

Anyone interest in a handmade 48" diameter oak table? I made the table for her about 14 years ago. We're hauling it home to try and sell it. Have to admit, it's one of the nicer tables I've done.

Good morning! Foggy and cold out there this morning, but it's supposed to warm up later. I'm going to try to fix a speaker in the Jeep today - I bought a kit to re-foam the edge around the speaker cone. Hope it works as well as the reviewers of the kit say.

Man, you do some mighty fine work, Tom! Matt, you're gonna have to learn how to make balloon animals ;-)

Enjoy your Saturday, Gurus!

Good morning everyone....

I'm off to start my only honeydo today; Shampooing the carpets in 3 rooms. Then I have to figure out why Chevy decided to put studs in the clamshell hood I saw one of the hood hinge nuts was loose and I snapped the stud off...sigh...I guess its off to the hardware store for a nut rivet, a bolt and a drill bit. After that, the emblem came in and I'll have some quick fun putting that back on.

'Yall have a great weekend!

I have good news and I have bad news......The good news first....the home team backed into the State Playoffs by a real close margin...yay yay! Now for the not so good news...we get to travel way out west to take on the #1 team in the State.....oh well...we might catch them on a bad night.....hmmmm uh maybe not.

It will be fun. I called to rent a motel room and got one of the last ones and this is 30 min after we found out we were going.....Sooo the saga continues...

TBee you must have had a tailwind.......what you asking for that table....? The new one looks great by the way...

When I remove or replace the hood emblem, I use a long socket and lay some masking tape, sticky side out, loosely over the end of the socket where it mates with the nut, and then wrap tape around the socket to hold that in place. The sticky tape keeps the speed nut from falling off.

Thanks Brad its a big deal in Huskerland to get to go to State...especially for a football program that hasn't been there for 10 or so years. You could count the wins over the past 3 or 4 years on one hand. Coaching does make a difference.....

Holy Cow....! I have never seen anything like that....I can't believe how much water pressure that takes or that that those jet ski's can generate it. Then I see how fast those thing go and I begin to understand....wow!
