We have a 2000 Impala w/120,000 miles on it and this week it started showing the "Low Tire Pressure" light on the dash. It's been on before as the right front loses air from time to time, but after filling the RF and then checking the other 3, it's still on. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance......

I would bet one or more of the sensors have gone bad. I have that problem on one of my Duramax pickups. They can tell you which one is bad with their scanner.

I never really paid attention to those until driving my truck one day when the DIC starts dinging and it tells me my left rear is losing pressure and then lets me see how fast that the pressure is escaping.....I managed to get to a farm stead and we got it off and the spare put on....so now I am kinda a fan of the system......

Try driving the car a few miles after you fill the tire. That will usually reset the light.

You might try unhooking the battery, donno if that will work.

Be glad you're not in a C6 when one of those sensors goes goofy.

I read a thread on the C6 guys sticking those sensors in a pressurized PVC container and stashing it in the car, lol.

Yea, can be really dangerous on the track.

But there's an easier way, unhook the white wire on the steering position sensor.

after some consideration, I think I'm gonna tak it in and have it diagnosed as to exactly what it is, and if it's a sensor, find out which one. Thanks for the help guys, it's very much appreciated.
