I don't know Andy.....it's a beautiful car but any special edition is good if you have another Corvette to rack up some miles on. You can get a 10 GS like mine in the mid 40's with low milage and be quilt free driving the hell out of it.....just my opinion of course.....

Here's my take. The 427 is a frig'n beast of an engine. I hate it as much as I love it. It's powerful and awe inspiring. The LS3 in the GS is much simpler and much more of a driver's engine...and on top of that you can bolt on super charger kits that increase the power levels up to Z levels anyway...for less money and more drivability.

I see both sides of this argument (figurative). That is one sweet ride, but like Marcus said, I'd feel guilty driving it. Now I've seen a few of those with more miles and considerably less money. No guilt there. But do I NEED 505 horsepower? I think I could get by with 400 or 430. Do love the white though.

No guilt complex here. Cars are meant to be driven.

What tires are on the Z? Aren't those the ones that only last 15,000 miles and cost huge money to replace?
Might be a factor.
Whatever works for you though.

Those would be the same tires that are on the GS's....325/30R 19's in back and 275/35R 18's in front. You have 3 tire choices all summer tires with a wear factor of about 220 if you want Run Flats. They will go longer if you set your alignment so its not as agressive. Since I don't track I will be getting some Bridgestones for my car at about 1600 bucks......Michelins are 2200.....and I wouldn't have the Goodyears if they gave them to me......

Plus you can take the roof off if you want to.....and 436 hp is about all my reflexes can handle and I can still hit the rev limiter because I can't shift fast enough from 1st to 2nd......if I start shifting when the needle is going past 3 grand maybe that will work....lol...LS3 is a hell of an engine......

Yea, but the one I posted is a Ron Fellow's edition... that's what the cool red stripes identify it as.

And that's cooler than cool, right?

I have always had a soft spot for this version... Ron is a great guy and is always accessible. And the white/red package looks sweet.

It's all a dream...

I have a very high regard for the man but not the car.

When the car first came out I thought Ron was stupid to put his name on a graphics package with nothing else special about the car.

I just wish it was really a red interior. It needs red carpeting.
