Seems since i lowered my 94 its picking up a fair few new rattles, the ride is stiffish, i have an FHA spring in the front (from a 91 ZO7, thanks to our mate Glen ), and a BMF spring in the rear (came out of a front end wrecked FE1 84, i had that spring for many years) coupled to the KONI yellow adjustables.

TopTechx6 has been for a decent ride in the car, so he would be able to give a good idea on what he thinks of the ride.

The car goes round corners like its welded to the road if you line it up right. The only thing id change is the swaybars.

Id say the stiffer ride has started off a few of the rattles, i noticed over the past few days there is a couple more coming out.

Also, i need some new rear swaybar bushes, if someone has some laying around, let me know and i might take them off your hands

Mine was pretty much rattle free when I bought it too. But louder exhaust, poly bushings and driving the shit out of it took care of that!

hm...

This is a case where the suspension is stiffer than the rest of the car.

I would set the Koni's at full soft... see what that does. In short, the ride is too firm.

I am also not sure that a super stiff rear spring is good. The 84 FE1 spring is killer... higher than the later Z51 rear springs! Too high to be practical and leads to oversteer. I don't like a suspension on the street that is too stiff. Just impractical and potentially dangerious.

That corner is a bitch at 70 mph when you hit a bump... the sudden redirection is enough to make me lose my lunch.

I find the standard suspension on my '95 to be plenty stiff. I feel that bigger sway bars and shock tuning is a much better way to enhance handling on most street cars.

That's for sure. If your stiff springs skate over that bump, just think what would happen when the road's wet.

Youd be suprised at how well it rides mate, its not harsh at all, and i dont believe TopTechx6 found it to be either.

I have never had an issue with oversteer, the car handles perfectly.

Then you must need a louder exhaust or turn up the stereo. I only hear the rattles for the first few minutes then I block them out like a whining baby.

I never counted the pages, but there are a lot of them dedicated to finding and fixing rattles in my FSM. Someday I might even read them.

Yep! I guess it does take a lot of concentration when your driving on the wrong side of the street.
