The 90 degree rubber connector for the CCV in my emissions system is A) loose and B) somewhat heat damaged. Finding a replacement has so far proven to be impossible - I can't even find a part number for it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on anything that could be done to recover this connector at least a little bit?

I don't know if it's the same part or not, but I had a 90 degree fitting that went from the tube off the pcv valve into the intake that had been replaced with a piece of heater hose on mine when I bought it. Mine was heat damaged and collapsed also.
The hose was 1/2" heater hose so I went to NAPA for a replacement - no luck. They did let me look around in back at the various preformed hoses to see if I could see something that would work and I did find one. I found a preformed hose with a 90 degree bend in it. I cut it down to the length I needed from the bend and it went on perfect.
I may still have the end with the NAPA number on it, if that sounds like what you're looking for, PM or email me and I'll see if I can dig it up. May take me a couple of days to get to it though.

Hope that helps.

If you can't find an elbow.

Plasti-Dip might work, it's the stuff you dip a tool in to put a rubber coating on the handles. Also known as Rubber Dip.

Corvette restorers sometimes use it to make the rubber coated J clips that hold the wire harness on the firewall.

Andy,

The part in question is much shorter, but you've given me some good ideas. Thank you.

Three pictures: one of them of the general area, a close-up, and the actual part.

Thank you, Andy - ordered. By the way, two out of three of these parts don't even show up in the 1985 Y-body parts manual ...

A final update here. The rubber part that I needed and that Andy tracked down turned out not to exist anywhere.

I ended getting up an HPS high temperature silicone hose (designed for turbo applications) with a ninety degree bend and cutting it to fit. It's tight in there and I'll need to color the ends black, but it seems to be working.

I am not surprised you couldn't find the parts...

I am finding more and more generic parts through the HELP! line at the various autoparts stores...

Pep Boys has a really great selection of that stuff.

Used it for reliability test rigs

Damn, I got all excited and crawled into my parts bin, but then realized I have the wrong elbow, to the valve cover part.

1st world problems!

It's like that damn mcdonalds monopoly game all over again. Dorman (Help!) has a decent selection of doodads, some of which are the same fit as factory parts, but you'd never find them listed properly for the application. Here's a start, may at least be something that looks closer to stock. I assume you already checked the catalogs for aftermarket replacments.

Now wait just one minute.....
Isn't the GRAND Imperial Poobah s'posed to have it memorized?
I thought the "GRAND" was for the superhuman capacity you possess. Does this mean you're actually a "Normal" Imperial Poobah?
This is just too much for me to take in....
