Has anyone changed out the plug wires on the driver's side without removing any parts? Can it be done?

Yes, if you reach up from the bottom or reach under the power steering pump you can get to them no worries.

Easiest done with two people; one up top and one below to guide the wires. It's tight and can be a PITA but its not bad when two people do it.
Good Luck

If I remember right from doing this long ago when my engine was stock, unbolting the steering pump from the bracket should make this a ton easier. (No need to unhook any hoses) My factory manual stated that the pulley must be removed to unbolt the pump. That is wrong, it does not. The bolts are a little tricky to find but not difficult to remove once you do so.
If anyone ever has the accessory bracket off, there's a place where some material can be ground away that will make future plug wire changes much easier. And when you see the obvious area I'm speaking of, you'll see it will have no effect on the structural integrity of the bracket.

If you remove just the pulley, you don't to loosen up the p/s unit. Since you have to pull the belts anyway, removing the pulley only takes 2 minutes. It makes it easy to see and get to that side of the opti. For $24, it's a pretty good investment.

I am sixty + and not near as handy as I used to be. I was able to do mine without too much difficulty by removing the belt, tensioner assembly and part of the wheel well. Good luck. Later! Frank

I got to them without taking anything off mine, but it was quite a tight squeeze
