Good Morning Gurus!

How's it goin' eh?

The garage door folks are coming Friday Morning. Prolly gonna be about $200. $75 or so for parts and $75 for the service call. Oh well. At least it will be done. I will be working all weekend again, so it would be at least another week until I could look at it. And I'm sure my wife is tired of scraping ice off her car in the morning.

On my way home from work every day, I pass a Corvette specialty shop.

And yesterday as I drove by, a CE was pulling away from the shop. I just get a thrill when I see a C4 on the move.

Imagine my surprise and delight when the same car is parked about five doors up from my house when I get home!

It was coming up the street this morning as I left for work too. Supposed to be like 60 degrees this weekend, so if I get a moment, I may walk over there and see if the guy is just visiting, or if a neighbor just got a C4. Can't wait!

Hopefully I can get us a new member either way.

Ended up going to KY Tuesday night. Took my 2 year old with me. My sister watched him while her and my husband went on a sales demonstration. Hopefully we will get the deal. They seemed very interested.

The wife had to go to the emergency room with her herniated disk while I was gone. My dad took her and finally got to bed at 4:00 Wednesday morning.

Now I have to take her to the Dr. today to see if surgery is in our future. I went to daycare Tuesday and chewed their butts out pretty good letting them know the pickle they have left me in. Was funny, the daycare is at a church 3 doors down and I asked if I can't get help from a church where can I go? The woman informed me they were a business within the church. I asked her why she read me a letter the day they kicked my son out that was filled with Christian love phrases and such. I told he I guessed it was ok for her to hide behind religion, but if I bring it up it is different.

Haha, she called the "Minister of Defense" or whoever he was for help. He never said 2 words. I put them properly in their place and left it at that. Boy did I feel better and I could tell they felt pretty low.

Oh well, slept in a little today and got to take the boy to work with me before our trip to Knoxville to the Dr.office.

Whoa! Sounds like a real soap opera. I hope you get it all sorted out. Daycare issues officially suck eggs. Ask me how I know....

Daycare is my third largest expense. House, Car, Daycare. And if I take my kids to daycare during the summer, it doubles and becomes my largest expense. More than my mortgage.

Ahhhhhhhhh! But you need someone you can trust with your kids, and if you think about it, their hourly wage is crazy low.

OH, BTW, meant to mention, the wife does have to have surgery. They are trying to schedule it next week to cut off the part of the disk that is herniated. She can't wait. The pain has been horrific for her. The sciatic nerve is hurting all the way down to her foot. I can hardly wait myself.

Glad it's Thursday - the end of the work week. It was a rather strange week. Had Mon off for a holiday; in training Tues and Weds (which was rather excruciating); in the office on Thurs; and off tomorrow. Not a bad week altogether.

Its friday arvo here, and i have the next 3 days off
