More raw material for learning; and hardly scratched the MT-2500 capabilities...

Now this one (and it's NOT Tech 1A).

Anyone who's been here, SOUND OFF!

Vehicle ID: (no 'Auxiliary' function cartridge inserted; only Primary)

This is pretty straight-forward...

Looks like you are on your way. Not being a "1a" doesn't mean a thing.

You can do some cool stuff like monitor sensors/temps/idle counts/etc while the car is running.

You will also use it for the troubleshoot charts, as you already know.

Alright - I can't replicate the Diag Sys Check Fail (above) - I think I 'Entered' with key off...

...BECAUSE, I plugged in A/C and Radio Heads, and it won't replicate.

So I got navigation down pat [mostly] of the GM PRIMARY Cartridge 'GM 81-92 ECM'.

It has A/C function request check, and all responds accordingly, with A/C Head Unit controls.

(I did have

Now for more advanced checks - CCM Field and values, it appears I need to plug in Cartridge P/N 3000003. Quote:
MASS STORAGE CARTIDGE P/N 3000003 has everything in it I ... Power train, body control, etc

Where? Into Tech 1 Auxiliary port? Or Pull Primary Cartidge, and insert there???

Need help here guys...................

Matt - if I can make something of this, perhaps integrate this thread into 'Help on CCM Pull', re-title "Tech 1 / CCM Diagnostic"

Replace the powertain cartridge with the mass storage cartridge. You will use the HVAC adapter in line where it plugs into the obdi port.

Yes, it DOES go into MASTER.

I put it in Master slot, no mushroom cloud. Magic smoke that electronics work did NOT escape.

Got a majority of navigation in this scanner down pat, including some test executions - Change Oil Light, A/C On and Off, Temp Control for ECC, Fan Speed; couldn't find ANY problems.

Disconnected it to go in and do some reading. Turned off Ig, and back on, and THE 3 DASHES ON A/C WERE LIT UP!!!

Went inside to get scanner, AND CATCH THIS THING IN THE ACT.

IT WAS DISPLAYING FINE; everything working perfect.
