Had to fix a coolant leak on my 96CE and it turned into something a little more involved...
Before... During... And After... Can't think of a better way to spend a weeks vacation. |

Looks great! What did you use on the alternator and AC?
I have pretty much the same task in front of me. I'll be replacing the water pump, putting in a new opti, hoses, wires, plugs and headers. And I have an oil leak to fix somewhere, likely the intake or the crankshaft position sensor. |

Thanks. Did the same sort of stuff...coolant leak was a failed gasket where the water pump mounts to the block on the drivers side. Replaced the original opti because it had 118K miles on it. Replaced intake & valve cover gaskets to address oil leaks. Polished the fins on the intake and painted it while it was out. Checked valve lash. New wires & plugs, replaced vacuum and coolant lines as needed. Had the alternator, a/c compressor, air filter housing, computer, and surge tank painted Sebring Silver. Did some general degreasing and cleanup. BTW...wouldn't recommend painting the computer, mine crapped out and I had to buy another one. Don't know why, maybe coincidence....?

Could be coincidence on the PCM. I know of plenty of them that were painted. People take the covers off and paint them and then reassemble. I'm planning to do it myself here soon.
