Sue's working a the last day of a 3 day plant show at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. I have a mixed bag of stuff I'd like to get done today. Cut grass nursery, wash trucks and if I have any energy left (highly unlikely) I have some Round-Up that needs to be sprayed. Sunday .... another workday that follows Saturday .......

Howdy! Another nice day, gonna be 60 and sunny, outstanding. I'll take it as long as we can get it.

In Tommy's dreams:

Sue: "What are you doing today?"
Tommy: "Nothing."
Sue: "You did that yesterday."
Tommy: "I wasn't finished."

Enjoy your Sunday, Gurus!

"All we are saying is give peace a chance."

Then I enlisted in the volunteer Air Force to try to bring some peace in the Vietnam era. Yup, a peacemaker.

I sometimes wonder what my life would've been like if Tricky Dick hadn't canceled the draft when I turned 18.

Good Evening Gurus!

Sorry I've been MIA again. Busy with work and home.

Yesterday was the wife's actual Bday so we had a dinner at home last night. Nice and quiet. Wife enjoys her Bday "week."

TB - glad the procedure went well.

Marcus - sorry to hear about the tire problem.

Tommy - any surgery update (sorry if I missed it). Also, the AF must not have had much faith in you considering there are no bullets in your rifle....or were you the Tommy Fife of the AF and carried them in your top pocket?

Letty - how did the move go?

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hey guys....got up early and went to the 'city' to do our shopping so I could come home and use the nice weather/temperature to do some finishing of a set of drawers from kitchen cabinets. Took all afternoon, but it's done. Tomorrow we will take them back. Stain the cabinets and bring the doors back with us so we can stain and finish them here. When we finish them we will return them and spray the finish on the cabinets. The cabinets have been installed that's why we have been hauling things back and forth. Supposed to be nice for the first three days this week then really cool off, so time is of the essence in getting these drawers and doors finished.

Brad, do you remember your Selective Service number? Mine was 056. If Nixon had allowed the draft to continue, I would have been a soldier.

Matt, There were some crazy times when they didn't want the magazines in the weapons. (safety first) I had the mags on me. It was more of a preparedness situation as there were radicals blowing up radio towers and such. If there was penetration on base they would put us on a higher state of alert. We didn't have standard issue weapons. It was as needed for us. I used to do guard duty and weapon escorts and then the mags were in but no chambered rounds.

Surgery update. Sis had her surgery Thursday. She spoke to my other sister and my mom later that same day. My mom's surgery got canceled. First computer issues, next blood pressure issues and lastly kidney issues. She has to go see a doctor for a special kidney test. She's back home.
