Morning guys...

46 years ago, I asked a girl in my class out on our first date, to the school Christmas dance the 19th of December. She said "yes". That date has lasted 46 years. I never dated anyone else after that. I guess it was a sure thing to me. 4 years later we married.

Supposed to be warm again today, almost 60, but the other shoe falls Thursday and into the foreseeable future. Below zero Saturday night and Sunday night. Santa is going to be right at home down here on his trek Christmas eve.

I am going to make some pens/pencils today. SIL said something this weekend how much he liked one of the wine stoppers I made (Zebrawood and black chrome), so I thought I'd make a pen and pencil set for him in that combination.

Going to be a busy week. Helping Rosie with her Christmas basket project a couple days with the big day being Friday when they come to pick up their baskets/gifts. Really a neat program that is funded by generous donations from the community. Usually serve 90-110 families. Makes you feel blessed for what you have.

WENT OVER TO OKMULGEE TO SEE #3 GRANDDAUGHTER PLAY BASKETBALL. SHE'S NO BIGGER THAN A MINUTE AND REALLY FAST, BUZZES AROUND OUT THERE LIKE A MOSQUITO AND ANNOYS HELL OUT OF THE OPPOSITION :-) THOSE FOURTH GRADE GIRLS PLAYED HARD AND AS A TEAM, A TRIBUTE TO THEIR VERY ENGAGED COACH. THEY DID WIN, BTW.

IT'S INTERESTING HOW SOME COUPLES BOND IMMEDIATELY AND STAY STUCK :-) ONE OF MY COUSINS HAS BEEN WITH THE SAME WOMAN SINCE THE EIGHTH GRADE. AND #2 DAUGHTER AND SIL ARE ABOUT THE SAME. WAY BACK WHEN SHE TOLD ME "HE'S NOT A BOYFRIEND; HE'S JUST A FRIEND" I KNEW IT SOUNDED SERIOUS,

Not doing much but better get to doing it........ there are folks still out doing field work this late in the year......... I love global warming.......

Tom, it's nice that you found a woman that would have you at such a young age. I was looking and made an 8 year mistake. Sue grabbed me up and it's been 33 years of wedded bliss ever since. I can count the number of serious fights we've had on one set of hands and feet. Came close to a separation maybe only 10 times. Marriage takes work. Work is a four letter word. As everybody knows "Happy wife, happy life." I keep forgetting that . A long life and a good marriage survives one day at a time.

Thought I might take Lola on the circuit next year....

OUR HERD OF YARD DEER IS UP TO SEVEN NOW, ALL DOES. HAVEN'T HAD THAT MANY FOR YEARS.
