What do you folks do for lunch while you're at work? Do you bring stuff from home or go out? What are your faves?

I go out pretty much every day. I wish I could get away from that, but I simply love food too much. (And it shows)

Some of my favorite places:

Panera Bread: Roast Beef on Asiago Cheese bread with French Onion Soup

Chipotle: Burritos bigger than your head! Chicken, Rice with lime seasoning and cilantro, grilled onions and green peppers, a nice fresh mild salsa, cheese and lettuce.

Borriello Brother's Pizza: The ONLY place in Colorado where you can get REAL New York style Pizza! Not sure why these guys are the only ones who can get it right, but I've tried lots of places. Thank goodness this place is close to my office. Nothing like some big ass slices of thin-crust NY style, folded over with a large Coke! Mmmmmm, mmmmm!

Sometimes I hit Burger King or Popeye's, but I am kinda trying to stay away from the fried foods a little.

So, what's for lunch?

Well lets see........When I'm on the road I always stop and have at least 1 hot meal a day. I don't know how some people can eat sandwiches all day. If I don't have something hot at least once a day I feel like poop.

As for what I like...Yesterday I was lucky and delivered to Reading Pa., about 30 miles from my hometown so I knew where the good food was. Stopped at a truck stop/local people hangout and had veal with tomato sauce, mashed, corn and endive with hot bacon dressing. Top that off with warm rice pudding with whipped cream. Mmmmmmm

Is it lunch yet???

Happy eating Guru's.

Sparse.... usually I get to the office at 7:00 and leave at 4:00. Lunch turns out to be a can of tuna or something fast. More times than not, I skipp lunch altogether.

Usually eat out one or two days a week, then try and hit the supermarket and stock the work fridge with sandwich stuff.

I'm only 10 minutes from home, but I have a hard time coming back once I go there.

I work in a small town in NC. My choices are burgers and such, subs, pizza, barbecue (of course) and fried everything at the chicken house. That's about it for quick lunchtime fare. Picture the smallest carburetor jet you ever saw. I'm sure that's what my arteries look like!

I bag it, and have the same thing every day. Creature of habit.

I usually bring lunch unless I've got a meeting in another part of town. It's usually something hot - lasagna/pasta, meatloaf, curry, etc.

I also have breakfast at work since I start at 6:30a.
