Good Afternoon CGs!

Warm here for the season but no driving today. I put the Vette on rollers and it's covered for the time being.

Kids had a bit of cabin fever today so I took them to the mall to walk around for a bit. After that we went to the bowling alley and bowled a round and played video games. They even got some pizza for lunch. They were happy campers. I haven't been bowling in a while so I was a little surprised at the cost but still worth it to get them out and about.

Hope anyone affected by the weather is ok and / or doing better.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good evening ya'll. Thank you for the concern and would appreciate any and all prayers. This town is torn to bits. Two nursing homes hit, the one not far from here first, and with one death, a handful injured.
Sorry to check in late, been a jacked up couple of days . I've been on FB but no forums till today. We were in the closet, radio would not pick up, the "listen live" radio online thing on mobile would not work either, I saw a fb post about nursing home and called police, put on hold so I got back on fb as ppl were posting to me so I tried there to find out what I could.
I swapped my normal Friday nursing home visit from Friday to Saturday as we had out of state company coming so I wanted to get groceries bought, house cleaned and other things done. They were leaving Saturday so I scheduled my visit then. Instead I spent the evening in the closet then got texts about nursing home, so I had Arron take me , a CNA working there held my hand, cleared me through the police barrier as if I was a CNA also and I went in to check on Oneta. She was in the hall in her bed, debris on her, on everyone, ankle deep water, parts of building and roof gone, I saw she was okay and started helping them move residents to a safer area. That area turned out not to be safe either, beds were packed in like sardines, wheelchairs also, then power went out. The ceiling kept falling and not sure how no one got hit, we tried to keep them covered and put arm bands on everyone. Decision was made that it was safer for them to be outside getting rained on than indoors where ceiling was falling. We put garbage bags on them best we could to keep them dry but with winds and stuff didn't help much. Church busses and stuff lined up and we started sending them out, the last one out around midnight. Everyone is accounted for, no injuries. Staff was there today try to salvage things from the residents rooms, I picked hers up late today. Saved pretty much all hers, that side of building was least damaged. The room she WOULD have been in prior to covid was torn off the building. It was made into the covid wing so she was moved a while back. Grateful. My house was spared. Other parts of town are flattened and many lost everything they had. I've not seen this since I visited Katrina damage at Gulfport. Broke my heart. One lady in town with her baby in the tub was thrown from her house out into the street still in her tub. The nearby Monette Nursing home was damaged way worse and they had one die, 5 hurt. My aunts house was hit but livable, no power. I have her groceries and freezer stuff at my house, another cousin of mine lost everything. mile wide tornado, 250 miles, pending EF4-5. Whoever is on my FB page I've tried to share photos, a lot of us are here kinda one way to see how your family fared out and keep tabs on folks.
Please keep all of us in your prayers this will be a long next few months during the coldest part of the year.
