ANOTHER NICE MORNING, THAT'S THREE IN A ROW! CLEAR AND CALM, 74/80% GOING FOR 95.

AUTO ROTATION DAY, THE TOMATO UP AND NO RAIN IN THE FORECAST. MAY BE A LITTLE HOT FOR TOP DOWN IN THE AFTERNOONS THO. NEED TO GET SOME PARTS FOR THE MOWER; IT'S SHOWING IT'S AGE BADLY. WHEN IT DIES I MAY JUST GO TO HIRING SOMEONE TO MOW RATHER THAN REPLACING IT.

TOMMY, DO YOU TAKE SALT TABS WHEN WORKING IN THE HEAT? THEY USED TO WORK GREAT FOR ME, I'D EAT 'EM LIKE CANDY. WATER ALONE WOULDN'T GET ME THRU A HOT DAY.

IMMER VORWART, Y'ALL

I do not take salt tablets but know about salt needed to help with hydration. Thanks GRIS for the suggestion.

I will always take heat over freezing but prefer the middle ground. I always remember it's hot throughout most of the u.S. in summer. Some places are far worse tha SoFlo. Dry heat or not.

Good morning, been covered up at work already, nobody should know I'm here but some smoke signal must have gone off.
I worked in the yard all day Saturday, havent' been able to since before surgery. Way overdid it, but I go a lot done. Got all the hedges around front and the side of the house trimmed, flowerbeds all across front cleaned out, all along side cleaned out, plus two others that are off to the side out front. Trimmed our bradford pear tree with my new baby chainsaw so Arron could mow under there easier, plus our weeping mulberry needed a haircut. Hauled all that to the curb, even used my blower to clean up my mess. I have a yard trashcan packed full. And, Arron mowed last night and blew crap back on the driveway I just blew off. Men. When I got done , I took a shower, sat on the couch and passed smooth out. Head hurt I could tell I did too much but it has to get one. I still like 2 flower beds out back to clean out and move some plants around. And, the house needs cleaned again, I'm never done it seems like. ARron has been busy with the '57 that turned into a nightmare and has other waiting. He's worn out too.
Tee I would find some way to get my $1000 out of them. Negligence of their trees falls on them not you. Insurance says it's your issue since it's on your property but the tree isn't. I have a neighbor that way too and whatever of hers is hanging over my side is about to be cut smooth off.

Yup, cut it back to the property line. A tree falling over brings mixed responses regarding insurance and responsibility.

I was trying to get my yard in shape back in March so I wouldn't have to deal with it in the summer. I obviously didn't expend the effort back in Spring I should have. There is a price for procrastination. The weeds are 95% done now. More mulch to spread and pick up all the piles I have all around they yard. Need to spray some areas like the driveway and edges. I can definitely feel the heat. When I start to feel a little off I head to the house immediately. Water and A/C to rehydrate and cool off. Then I go back out till the next time. Usually 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes longer. Of course, mid-day is the worst.

Not sure how but think there needs to be a law passed or something that requires the person who's yard the tree is in to pay deductible at least and then the insurance company cannot hold it against you for that claim. Used to be 'act of God' things didn't count against you but not now.At least not for us. We got cancelled over a tiny claim. Of course now, house note is higher since we switched but I also added more coverages so some of it is my fault.

Hey guys, busy day here. Up early and off to central Kansas to remove all the furniture that is lft in dad's house. All the relatives got what they wanted, si, we loaded everything left in the enclosed trailer, and brought it back and donated it to our church's garage sale...someone may as well get some use out of it rather than going to the dump...which was Rosie's siblings answer. this was an all day ordeal, but we are home, trailer unloaded at the church hall and ready for what tomorrow brings.

As for the damage, I'm not going to pursue trying to collect from the neighbors, just bot worth it. I can install the new door, although, I talked to a buddy about him installing it for me...just haven't decided for sure.

I need to go for a bike ride ...
