I may be talking way out of line here and if I get flamed so be it.
With allot of dismay with one of the other Corvette sites could this place become another all gen full fledged Corvette venue. If so tweaking the name to something less gen specific could make this place a little more inviting to all. I am by no means trying to stir the pot or cause any trouble
I just think there could be a opportunity its looking to me like the door may be kicked open. Again this is just my observation and a gut feeling. I'm ready to be shredded. :shaking:

Already bookmarked the new site name.

Thanx for all you've done here Andy.

Really looking forward to it.

I'll buck the trend once again and say I disagree. The gen 4 specific focus is for me a big part of the attraction. Our cars seem to be the black sheep generation and are shunned by the rest of the Vette community anyway, why not specialize in the niche?
So far the forums here dedicated to other gens exist in name only, there are no posts.
Perhaps adding Corvette to the URL will change that by bringing other owners here who would not normally find the site but it will take time if it happens at all.
That said, I sincerely hope the changes coming are successful, I don't question Andy's dedication or willingness to help other Vette owners, best of luck.

It'll take time for the brand X forums to generate activity. We have an international Corvette forum that's been up and running for several months now, and if not for the RSS feeds (which I'm not real fond of!), it'd be almost a wasteland

The potential for all these sites is very good...IF...and only IF...."we" show people they exist and promote them. Google searches will show them as they grow, but promotion by word of mouth (internet) is still going to be what fertilizes the seed

I agree with you that the C4 specificity of the site was what drew me here and generally speaking, what keeps me here, much the same as our CorvetteFlorida forum with it's Florida specific nature keeps me there

But if we want to give the refugees, defectors and those generally displeased with CorvetteForum an alternative, I don't see what it can hurt.
