I just brought the old girl home to start working on it - it's been stored at my mother-in-law's since late October. I grinned all the way home (the drive was waaaaaaaaaay too short). I had expected it to be balky after sitting for months, but it fired up immediately and ran like a champ. Heater worked great, too - good thing, as it was a balmy 1 degree. Now if it runs this good when I'm done working on it, I'll be a happy camper

Got my first project done - I installed one of those underhood light shutoff switches. Hardly bled at all - LMAO!

I'm 2-for-2 - I pulled the knock sensors to drain the block and managed to get antifreeze in my hair both times. :sign6:

LOL! Ahh, there's plenty to love about working on these things.

My wife pulled a fast one on me. I wanted to finish flushing and draining the coolant tonight so I can get started on some other tasks tomorrow, and it was about 8:30 when I filled the system to flush it. I came in when I was done, and it was about 10:30. I thought, "WTF, I must be getting really old and slow!" After I took a shower I finally figured out she had set all the clocks ahead already.

In the days before knock sensors, I'd put drain cocks in those locations to make draining the block neat and easy. Oh well, can't do no mo!
Glad to hear you got her out and home!
