Hadn't thought about it before but it sounds like a great idea!

This was brought up awhile ago and the decision was not to do so at that time. While there are a few of us, most of the current people here aren't going to frequent the forum. The thought was that more folks would go to the RR type threads if they were in the tech or general sections which would expand the potential audience.

I guess let's see who else weighs in to this thread, perhaps it's time to reevaluate that decision.

I'm all for it. I'm not a serious racer anymore but I enjoy some auto-X and drag racing now and then. For the time being, I think drag racing should be included in this section too. Later on, as the racing forum grows, drag racing could eventually have it's own forum area.

I think that many of us, although not hardcore racers ourselves, still enjoy keeping up with what the "big boys" in this segment of our hobby are up to, both on the track and in their garages. Serious racing tech is always of interest to me, having both drag raced and oval track raced in my earlier years. Plus a lot of that tech is of interest and can be utilized by those of us who have seriously modified, but still primarily street driven cars.

The biggest reason was that we didn't want to add it before the transition. I had a festival of adding new forums... and it pissed off our Technical Support Department, so I stopped.

We will add it ASAP!!!!!

I think Notorious is right, let's make it a "racing" section, including drag, RR, and auto-x. Enough of the tech translates, if there's enough of both we can split them later.
