Looks really good!!!

My car had 2 roofs originally but 'til I bought it the only top it came with was the clear top.

I'd love to have the painted top.

I looked for the better part of 2 years to find a nice one with a good headliner for a fair price ($340 w/shipping on ebay).

Just under $300 to take it all the way down to fiberglass, paint it, and put a new edge moulding on it. They did a great job of matching the original paint on the rest of the car.

It came to me Bright Red.

Sure lets the a/c work easier on those hot summer days.

Nice. Wish I had the original painted top my car came with, but I did not get it with the car.

Forgot to mention that I had to remove the brackets with the threaded holes and re-drill the targa and re-position the brackets ('96) to make it fit on my '88.

Took about 90 minutes. Pretty easy job really.

Could have bought the $200 kit from vendors to change the brackets and trim on top of the windshield, but then my '88 glass top wouldn't fit, so...

My concern on changing tops around is leaks.
Let us know the watertight integrity of your new top!

Looks great. I'm casually looking on ebay, but by next year, I'll be much more serious. I have a white and it just looks nicer with the painted top.

Looks like a great paint match from the pics. Nice addition.

believe me the AC will work alot easier on the hot summer days with a painted top, i had that same problem with my 84, and the clear top... it would never cool off with the clear top on, but then i got a painted top,a nd it seemed to help it out alot
