Good Morning Gurus!

Well, I had enough of my pain-in-the-ass long hair yesterday.

I'm kinda pissed at myself for not sticking to my guns, but I sure feel better.
My wife is pleased. Says I look way younger. So I guess that's good.

Every time I think spring is here, we get snow flurries. Enough already!

Pretty soon I'll be bitchin' about how hot it is.

How's everyone doing today?

So you chopped off our hair? Do we get before and after pics?

It's supposed to get pretty hot here this weekend. 80 where we live at the beach. That's insane for the beginning of April!

Every time I chop off the locks I don't know who the guy staring back at me through the mirror is. It feels good though. My wife just came home from the hospital after a 6 day stay from a bad throat infection and tonsilitus. She has to go back for a second tonsilectomy in about 2 months.
Two years ago she had chicken pox for the second time. Geez........

I found a local old timey barber shop. Most of the cuts are high and tight. Since I lack high, all they can do is tight.

Can't complain really. I did get to watch the sun rise again today.

Mojo for your wife - I had chicken pox when I was 31, and that was no fun whatsoever.

Dang, Tommy... I think your wife ought to be entitled to some kinda refund. Do overs on Tonsil-ectomys AND Chicken Pox? That sucks.

Before and after pictures? Of me? No.

I avoid cameras like the plague. Maybe once every three or four years somebody snaps one of me. Either I am not looking, or I quickly toss the finger, so it is unusable. I absolutely hate having my photo taken.

The only bad thing is, when I'm gone there will not be much evidence of me being around, which will be a little sad for my kids, I guess. Although they will get a kick out of the "Middle Finger Collection". A limited edition of five bad photos, available only in this special TV offer!

I suppose I should maybe pose by the Vette or something one of these days. Then I could send that to some relatives, AND it would work here too. Gotta be efficient, when you appear on "film" as rarely as I do!

The good news, I got my new (OK, another) toy last night.....

Resized Image

Thing sounds sweet...... I might even learn to play something other then Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star....

The bas news is that I had to go get up and go to work....

And so begins yet another day of being overworked and underpaid.....

I wonder what my users will break today.......

It's a beautiful day here in East TN and I have to work. I have drive the vette the last couple of days. It was 74 yesterday and about the same today. Sunny and nice. I had a 1 1/2 hour drive to a site yesterday and got sunburned on my face and left arm. It was great!!

Now I am inside programming another database for a customer and can't enjoy the day.

I hope everyone has great day and Tommy, good luck to the wife.

I'm working of getting all that pounded into my old brain, however....

It's not a chromatic type instrument per-se.. It's more of a modal instrument.

I've been playing with the different modes (mixolydian, ionian, aeolian, dorian, etc...) - all interesting.

Primarily, MD's are tuned to D-A-dd (mixolydian) or D-A-AA (ionian).

Noting it is interesting - for instance, walking the bass line it goes D (open), E, F#, G, A, B, C, C#, D

Sounds like it was made by aliens!

Been a LONG time since I even pondered modal vs. chromatic....

And I get my modes confused with column types from the Roman Empire...

Doric/Dorian Ionic/Ionian...

Hope the wife gets better real soon tommy.
My day started good, went to the local scrap yard and got 40 bucks for a old washing machine, lawn mower and one brake drum. Two hrs later driving home with my wife from the tax man the left rear tire on the Grand Prix blows out. Tires were 1 wk old with 42 miles on them. So, spent the afternoon at the tire shop. Up-graded on all four, hope these are better. Shouldn't have bought the cheapies.
