Do all C4 brakes suck or is it just mine? New pads, new rotors and it still seems like I have to stand on em to slow the danged thing down .

Do you have the J55 option? Mine does and stops great.

I just finished putting in new rotors (drilled and slotted), Hawk ceramic pads, Earl's stainless lines and all new Valvoline synthetic fluid - by the end of the burnishing process they felt great. Did you break the pads in properly? Hawk recommends 6-10 moderate stops from 30-35mph, followed by 2-3 hard stops from 45mph.

My '94's suck BAD. That's why I'm going to go with the C5 upgrade, just as soon as Jeff gets me the brackets!!!!!!!

I have J55 brakes with stock style NAPA rotors, Hawk pads, Goodrich SS lines, bias spring and Valvoline synpower brake fluid. Stops on a dime and makes change.

I wonder, what tires do you have? How old are they?

Is there a chance your master is weak?

These are actually good street brakes. Nothing wrong with them at all. I question why they "suck."

Pads are hawks, tires are pilot sports, maybe 5 months old. Did the break in on the pads as directed. Master cylinder is good and booster seems ok. Pedal feels fine, just seems like its very slow to stop. My 05 Mustang GT has ten times better brakes. Sounds like maybe the C5 upgrade would be a good idea.

hm... I am surprised... Is it a hard pedal? I wonder if the brake booster is getting soft?

Standard brakes on my '93. They are just a tad firm, but I like that. And they stop me just fine. About twice a month or so, I ask them to haul me down from triple digits to a stop fairly quickly. No complaints.

I have the (13" rotors) from Hawk Racing, the fronts are slotted and the rears are drilled and slotted. The pads are Hawk HPS and they hook up real well. The new rotors and pads made the difference for me.

That's because it doesn't have as much boost as a typical car. Push harder.
