After golf last night I was talking to a guy who owns an old 1985 Porche. After I got done telling him my 1987 would grind his Porche he asked what motor I had. I told him 5.7L and he went blank, then I said, 350, that he understood. He said he had a set of headers for a Chevy 350 and asked if I wanted them.

I have no idea how to tell if the headers would fit my car? Any advice?

take them and try one.

worst case you pass them along to someone else who needs them.

Considering how many years and models GM put the 350 block into, including trucks, I would say your chances are right up there with hitting a MegaMillions lottery with one ticket.

Exactly, they wont fit. Its hard as hell to find a set of long tubes for a C4 used.

I've been trying...

For a looong time.

That's what I thought, it's a long shot at best. I think he was looking for cash for them, he's a cheap bastard. I'll pass.

I would have to agree with the peanut gallery. the chances they would fit are a million to one long shot. I would bet they are for a Chevelle... that's what everyone put headers on 20 years ago!

You have to appreciate that headers are a 2 fit issue - the engine AND the car. It's not that simple...
