Good morning all!

Another cold day here in Chicago. Sun is out, which is nice, but still chilly. Was around 37* last night. Supposed to have a cold spell for a little while. I'm ready for the warm days to return.

Anything else new with anyone? How's work going for all you people sneaking a peek on the boss' dime???

Hope all is well.

Matthew

Good Morning Gurus!

Hey, did anyone watch the Mecum auctions on TV recently? I think I was watching on Sunday evening, and a 40th anniversary Vette went up on the block. It looked to be in good shape. It was an A4, and did NOT have the ruby center caps on the wheels.

Link to car

The car went for either $9,000 or $11,000. I was actually surprised at how little many of the cars were selling for. Mecum must not pull like Barrett Jackson. The only thing that was fetching big dollars were Hemi Cudas. Crazy prices on those buggers.

Anyway, the whole time this Ruby was on stage, the commentators were talking about how great a car it was, fast and inexpensive. They were saying now is the time to buy, with prices low, and how the car was a great way to get into the collector car hobby.

It made me feel warm and fuzzy, but I don't know if a C4 is ever going to be hot property. I just hope if the time ever comes to sell mine, that I don't lose too much money. That would be great. But for now, I have no intention of selling.

Good morning!

Well, I had to get gas this morning on my way in to work. And I pulled into one of two usual stations, and there was a little message on the pump that said 'pumps have been stopped.' I have no idea what that meant, so I just went on to my next station. I always thought that pumps stayed on even when the little store was closed.

Weathers suppose to stay fair for the rest of the week up here. Got down to almost 45 last night!. Highs should stay around the mid 70's today.

Our local Chamber of Commerce is presenting a one day summit for small businesses. Looks like I'll be sitting inside all day. I don't know if there is enough jo & redbull to keep me awake....
